I don't think I've ever paid for gas inside

I always pay at the pump.  Why do people pay inside?  Is pay at the pump not available everywhere?

I always pay at the pump too.  If I am really lazy and desperately need milk, I will run to the gas station and pay 6 dollars for non orgnaic milk that will expire in 3 days but that is about the only reason why I go inside a gas station...

wait the last time I went in the gas station was to get coffee and a snack before a long trip, MH met me there and waited with the kids....while I went in.  I know that is lame but I didn't know how busy it would be and it was early in the am.  I have left them alone in the car but not under unknown circumstances...

The only times I have was before there was such thing as "pay at the pump" (you know, the olden days) and if the credit card reader at the pump was broken.

I almost always pay at he pump but the one gas station in our town doesn't have that option (cause they're dumb) so occasionally I have to go inside. We try not to get gas there though since they are always around 20? a gallon more

This makes me laugh b/c it's not like it's that foreign of a concept. People used to have to go inside all the time to pay. We are such a lazy society. Anyway, to answer the question, some places don't have pay at the pump, some are sometimes out-of-order and sometimes people want to pay cash or get additional things (I.e., a drink).

I remember running in to pay... when you had to.  now I just run in if I'm buying soda or water or something.  and even then, many times dh is still paying at the pump while I'm running in. lol.  I like filling up when we go to NJ ...  they pump and it's cheaper /gal. ; )

I'm way lazy and cheap...I plan to fill up when we are in Jersey. They do the pumping and the gas is cheaper.

At our local gas station you have to go inside unless you are paying by credit card.  Sometimes I use debit, so I need to go in.

I have to go in beIicause the gas station I go to doesnt have PATP. (I know...crazy that not every gas station has it!) And the gas is always atleast 10-15? cheaper. Oh and I like to get coffee on the way to church. I usually fill my van up for the next few days and grab a coffee on Sunday mornings.
