Hi all, I am new to the multiples bored. We found out we are having twins about a week ago. Both had good strong heart beats and were measuring great. I do have a subchorionic hemmorhage that measures 2cm, it has actually shrunk from 3cm. So I have been having some brown spotting now for about 9 days. Yesterday and today it seems to olny be there when i have to bear down to have a bowel movement, or in the morning when I wake up to pee, b/c i use the progesterone supp at night, and Iam assumming it is just coming out when someof the progesterone does. other than that I am not having any. I am having groin pains on my right side pretty good as well. Morning sickness is still very present. I am 10 weeks now. My question is does this seem like something to worry about? I do have another OB visit on friday to check on the twins, but i am scared. thank you in advance for your comments
Re: subchorionic hemmorhage
I had an SCH as well. I think they're fairly common. That's how I found out about the twins -- the spotting. I think mine was 2cm-ish. I had brown spotting intermittently from weeks 6-9. After we found out the cause of the spotting I didn't really worry about it anymore. My OB told me it would subside and it did. As you can see from my siggy, everything turned out just fine.
If you're really concerned -- give them a call. A phone call for some re-assurance if you're scared can't hurt. Congrats and good luck!
I had one with my son. I bleed very heavily at 13wk..from that time til 24wk i had slight brown spotting to large blood clots. I was scared out of my mind because of it but every u/s showed my son bouncing all around and had no clue what was going on. I was on bedrest from 13wk til 24wks. He is watching Elmo as we speak
The right sided grion pain your feeling is most likely Round Ligament pain from your uterus growing.
Congrats on the twins!!
I had multiple SCH between 6 weeks and 15 weeks. I was told to drink lots of water, keep feet up as much as possible, no bending, no lifting, no stair climbing, no housework (loved that one) and generally take it easy.
Congrats on twins!
Agree with PP - pain in groin sounds like round ligament pain. very normal, but scary when coupled with bleeding.
