Pumping Q?

I have been pumping since my boys were born last tuesday.  I was doing it every 2 hours durring the day and two times in the night.  Today I decided to spread the sessions out to every three hours durring the day.  Do you think it is to soon to do that?  Will it affect my supply?  I am pumping for my twins in the NICU.

The reason I decided to go longer in between is because my nipples were sore, cracking, and one was even bleeding a little.  I am meeting with a lacation consultant tomorrow.  I think the shields might be a little to small, it feels like they are pinching.

TIA

I would pump every 2 hours during the day, but go longer at night (3-4 hours). The shields shouldn't feel like they're pinching, so you may need a larger size. I had to go up a size with mine. Lanolin cream also helped me during the first few weeks. GL.
