Hi ladies,
I would love your input, because my mom and I are stumped!!
My grandma-in-law wants to throw me a traditional shower. My sister and mom want to throw a couples shower.
Do I invite people to both?? I am having trouble processing this through my tired tired brain.
TIA!
Re: Two showers...invitation question.
By grandma in law I assume you mean DH's grandmother. If that is the case I would invite people from Dh's side of the family to shower.
The shower your sister and mom are throwing you can invite the people from your side of the family.
For your friends I would invite them to whatever shower you think they would enjoy, not both.

NO! Invite in-laws to your party from your grandma-in-law and your own family to the one from your mom and sister. (Friends to whichever one you want).
BUT, do NOT invite people to both, it is very rude!
This exactly. There are a few people you can invite to both - like my mom, his mom, and the baby's Godmother will be invited to both of mine, but otherwise the lists separate becuase of location/family so it worked out. If you think they'd be offended to not be invited to both, you can still invite them, but that way they're not feeling obligated to do 2 parties, 2 gifts, etc...
