It did hurt like hell. And I cramped pretty good for about a week. But now I LOVE IT. I have noticed that my cramping monthly is a little heavier, but thats all. Warning though- for the first month or two, your flow will be SUPER heavy. But it DOES back off! My sister'n law and I both got it at the same time- and it did for her too.
So worth it though- can I just say that it makes sex fun! lol

A friend of a friend had that put in and she said the same thing- though she hasn't had any kids so I figured that was why.
I have the mirena and is was smooth sailing. A small bit of cramping but that was it.
