Name opinions please

What do you think of the name Tate for a boy?  Too short or nick-namey?

What about Tatum for a girl?

We're pretty set on our girl name (not Tatum), but I just want to explore some other options. And we cannot find a boy name! Any suggestions?  DD is Kendall. DH loves Will and Owen, and while I like them both, I'm not sure I like them with Kendall.

Tate is just too close to a not-nice word for me.

Tatum is a guilty pleasure name for me.

Like Tatum for a girl.

I'm "eh" on Tate for a boy. I like the sound of it (I think because it reminds me of Nate), but there's something I'm just not sold on about it.

I like Will.

I like Tate in theory, but I agree that it sounds too close to an ugly word. I like the name Tatum, but it sounds masculine to me. I know that it is a girl's name, but I can't get over the sound of it.

Tate is too close to a certain naughty word to ever consider using.

I hate Tatum. It sounds trendy and ugly IMO.
