Heartbeat at 6wks 5 days?

Hi,

I go in next week for my next appt. and my OB is going to do an ultrasound and i am assuming she'll also check for a heartbeat.

Were any of you ladies able to hear a heartbeat at 6 weeks, 5 days?

What could you see in the ultrasound?

I am trying to just relax and wait but I am nervous about maybe not hearing the heartbeat. If i know that it might just be too early- then maybe I won't stress as much.

We were able to see baby with a HB and the yolk sac at our u/s, around 6W2D. Anything you are able to hear is just the u/s machining making a sound in sync with the beat of the heart. It's too small to hear the actual HB at the that time. We heard it for the first time at 10W2D.

We were able to see the hb @ 6w0d

First time hearing it on the doppler was @ 9w5d

I was 6w3d at my u/s last week, and we saw a little blob (baby) with a flickering spot (heart). The machine could "produce" a noise to replicate what it saw with the heart movement -- so it sounded like a heart beat, and she could give me a rate from that.

You should be able to see the heart activity, but the "noise" created by the machine might depend on whether the machine can do that function or not.

We had an u/s at 6 weeks 6 days and we could hear the hb. The LO just looked like a tiny bean, but they could tell everything looked good and measured on trak.
