Plus, I still have a strong preference for my right side. I'll try to stay on my left as much as possible but I can really only fall asleep if I roll over on my right instead.
I still sleep on my back, but I don't like it any more than my side! I miss sleeping on my stomach!
I was wondering if anyone still did some back sleeping. I know I've heard you shouldnt but then why do most women labor on their backs? How big of a rule is this? I'm asking b/c i hate sleeping on my side and want to sleep on my back but, I know your not supposed to.
I really really miss sleeping on my stomach. I think that sleeping on my stomach again is the biggest thing I am looking forward to once this pregnancy is over (of course, not counting having an outside baby)

Many women labor on their back on an incline (however slight). I will make a pillow fort incline and take naps that way - actually helps the heartburn a lot, too!
I still sleep on my stomach, its not as full stomach as it used to be, its more of a side/stomach variation but Its better than full side. When I sleep on my side I wake up all achy.

I believe you aren't supposed to sleep on your back because the weight of your uterus can press down on a major artery. It's supposed to be so uncomfortable that you'll notice it. I can't lay down flat on my back, but if I'm at an angle (propped up on pillows) then it's okay.

I go to sleep on one side, then switch back and forth in an effort to be comfortable (HA!). I wake up on my back more often or not. I asked a naturopathic midwife about this issue and she said there is a *slight* advantage in sleeping on the left and if you have issues (poor circulation, high risk), it is worth doing your best to do it. Otherwise don't worry about ti.

Yes!!! I think about this often when I am trying to get comfortable at night or I have to take practically 5 minutes just to turn over and adjust myself. Ah the little things in life.
