Question about receiving blankets

This will be a really stupid question I'm sure - but you can bring whatever blanket you want with you for the baby to use as a receiving blanket at the hospital, right?

As far as I know, yes.  In a similar post, most 2+ moms seemed to recommend using the one the hospital provides and saving your nice one for going home.

Yes, we used the hosital ones which turned out to be the pukie ones.

Hold on to that hospital blanket! Take an extra if you can. They are a little bit wider and make the swaddling thing easier if you are going in that direction. I saved the hospital blanket and little hat and put it in DS's memory box too

Use the hospital blanket, they seem to be a little thicker and yes like PP said wider! I saved the hat and blanket as well!!!!
