heart pounding/racing while laying down

I was just laying on the couch, not feeling good today, and my heart began to race and it was harder to breathe. I have gotten out of breath easier while doing things but not laying down. It's kind of scary. I don't remember this with my first. Should I be concerned?

Anyone else get this?

Happens to me, too! DH was afraid I was having a panic attack! It's normal from what I've heard.

No advice on this one except I've noticed I've become much more out of breath just doing nothing. Drives me insane! I just kick my feet up and drink some ice cold water.

That's pretty much how it feels. I have felt like I've been having a panic attack all day! I don't like this feeling!

It happened to me on Saturday.  I woke up from a nap and felt like I do when a phone wakes you up from a dead sleep.  Anxiety.  It went away quickly.

So glad to see I am not the only one!

For the past week, I have been waking up alomst every morning with my heart just beating out my chest and this major anxiety feeling. Also breathing heavy and fast. It was starting to freak me out but perhaps it's normal.

Pregnancy hormones WILL have an effect on your heart. I have had a heart condition my whole life, and it was well maintained until my first pregnancy. The hormones got me all messed up, and I actually ended up getting a pacemaker when I was about 14 weeks pregnant.

Yup totally had this too!  It either has gone away or I am just not noticing it as much, but it seems to be more tolerable!

I'm so happy to see someone else experiencing this! Every evening, the whole "pounding heart" thing hits. It also happens after I nap and if I have gone across the house or up & down the stairs when I'm cleaning. Yesterday I woke up, and definitely had that "anxiety, fast heartbeat" thing going on. I didn't feel anxious, but just sat there and could "feel my heart beat" throughout my body. It's quite strange. I know the amount of blood in our systems is constantly increasing, so that could be part of it? It only lasts for a few min. then goes away.

Yes, I think I read somewhere that it is attributed to this. Same problem here, BTW.
