Help needed...girl name

For a girl we've agreed on Isabel. It is literally the ONLY name out there that my DH doesn't dislike.  My question is, if we are planning on calling her "Izzy"...how would you spell it?? Also, could you suggest some possible MN options?  I'm thinking of going with Lynn, since that is my MN, but I'd like to see what else is out there. TIA!

  • I don't know that this is all that helpful, but I think it goes with pretty much any name, except those starting with L.  I would pick something that reflects your style or has meaning, but that is just me.
  • 1. I'm confused. Why do you need a way to spell her nickname? Are you going to be writing it on a lot of stuff? Nicknames are usually just said; formal names are written (obviously, this isn't a strict thing, but in general; it's not like you're going to sign your Christmas cards with her nickname, or put it on the birth announcements). I'd just spell it Izzy. Any other way looks confusing.

    2. Isabel Lynn is lovely, and it's nice to carry that on from you to your daughter. It's certainly more meaningful to you than Grace, Marie, or Rose (which is inevitably what you're going to get as suggested MNs).

  • DH and I have friends who have a daughter named Isabella and they call her Izzy (spelled this way) and her middle name is Madaline, which I LOVE!
  • Just like you spelled it is how I've often seen Isabels use a NN.

I think the little girl I know is Isabel Sophia.  Marie would work too but I know a lot of people don't like Marie since its such a popular MN.
