What form of BC will/are you using?

The time is coming to decide on what form of birth control I will be using.  We have always used condoms, but I'm debating on other forms.  What are you on and what made you choose that form of BC?

At my appointment on Monday I'm going to talk to my doc abt temporary options like Mirena, etc. If anything, we'll just go back to condoms and the occasional pull & pray. (I'm pretty good about knowing where I am in my cycle so as not to have an "oops baby"!)

We do natural family planning.  It is much more tricky to chart after having a baby since everything is different but we've taken a class.  I don't like all the hormones in birth control since they can have a lot of side effects.

Condoms for now.  I'm going to be getting a Mirena IUD soon, though.  My doctor won't put it in until we're 3 months PP, so I have almost a month to go :P

Thinking about sticking with condoms until I finish BFing. I have reproductive issues that are best handled on high-dose bcp's, and I don't want them to kill off my supply.

I'm on the mini-pill but we're also using condoms for now because I really don't want to get KU any time soon and I'm paranoid, haha. I'll probably use both until I stop BFing or DS is 1 year, whatever comes first. I figure at 1-year I could deal with an unplanned pregnancy better than I could right now.

I have PCOS so I have to be on BCP to control my symptoms.  I am taking Beyaz now (a new version of Yaz) and have no complaints.

no clue yet....but something.  I had trouble conceiving my older daughter but this one was a happy yet unexpected surprise.  So I have no idea what I am going to do.

NuvaRing. There's no way I would remember to take bcp everyday right now!

I'm on the minipill because I EBF. If I wasn't BFing I love, love, love the NuvaRing. (and I hate, hate, hate condoms!) Our long term plan is for DH to get the snip.

I'm BFing, so I'm on the mini pill.  I will probably go back to the regular pill after she's a year old, because we will most likely TTC again when she's a year and a half.  The dr advised against Mirena unless it would be in for two years.

Spermicide gel. I'll only use non-hormonal BC. I wanted the Paragard again, but it expelled previously, so my dr does not advise it. DH is allergic to latex, so no condoms and no FAM until I can sleep 4 hours in a row and then temp at a consistent time, which is not reasonable yet b/c I cue-BF LO and he doesn't have consistency yet.

Condoms.  My OB said I cannot get pregnant for a year after a c-section.  I didn't know that or we would turn around and try for #2 by 6 months but now we will wait til next January.

PixiePrincess, the photo of your LO is so adorable it made me laugh! The hat is elfish and his eyes are so big and look so surprised, like someone just scared teh crap out of him! SO funny, love it!

Anyway... We've had our last baby, so DH is getting a vasectomy. There is NO reason for me to hormonally keep myself infertile til menopause hits when DH can just get the snip and I don't have to worry about condoms, pills, the patch (which I had before and loved) ever again. 

Plus, if I were in charge of the fertility around here, I'd make sure I got the 4th child I want in 4-5 years! He knows this and does NOT want anymore, so I gave him the choice to get a snip and stop the procreating, or let me have my 4th child in the future. He chose the snip!

I have PCOS too and thought I'd have to go on bcp but my OB said that Mirena has hormones that will help do the same things bcp does.  I'm going with Mirena since I hate having to take bcp every day.
