TTC after 35

Is it strange that I love p4?

Seriously, I've been suffering with a bunch of symptoms for a while which I think were from the low progesterone :
Women who are experiencing low progesterone levels as they approach menopause may have some of the following symptoms: premenstrual migraines, pms-like symptoms, irregular or heavy periods and anxiety and nervousness. Some women may also experience, hot flashes, cloudy thinking, poor sleep, vaginal dryness and loss of sexual desire. Additional signs of low progesterone levels may include wrinkled skin, breast problems, difficulty in losing weight and fluid retention.
Can I stay on P4 even when I'm not cycling? I feel strangely good today! I didn't even snooze my alarm this am. Anyone else with this? Thoughts/comments?

Re: Is it strange that I love p4?

  • ha ha.

when I thought I had low P4, I googled the symptoms of it and found that list. I think MANY women can find that they have a few (or many) of those symptoms and still have a normal P4 level. So I don't know that the only reason for those symptoms would be low P4.

Obviously you can't stay on it all the time or you won't ovulate, but it's a nice thought, huh?

I'd love to think you feel the way you do because you are pregnant Surprise

  • totally OT, but I think we MUST both get pregnant in March. Look at our tickers, I have always noticed that they are inverse of each other.

luck o' the Irish, right? Smile

Totally!  We both started TTC 8/1/10 too! My next O would be St. Patrick's Day if I follow my "normal' pattern. I had gotten a reading back in December from jenny renny(?) (she's the other cheri22) and she said I'd get PG in March with a cycle starting in March. I'd have a girl in December.  The dates completely fit my cycle dates which is a little weird.  Of course this means I'm not KU now... Ha Ha.

  • very cool.

cheri22 told me boy and the month of January, so conception month could possibly be April. Who knows, I will hold on to any hope at this point, though...

our kids could date, btw, I'd be ok with that. I assume you are Catholic? my parents would be VERY pleased if my son dated a Catholic girl Angel

  • Too funny! Our unborn non-existent children are already being set up. Awesome!Yes, we are Catholic. Church wedding etc.  DH is the real Catholic in the family (I go because he makes me.) But I did go to Boston College so I get some points there, right?

of course! I have been non practicing for years and dh was raised a baptist..but I'll admit I would want my child baptised.

I went to St.Theresa's in West Roxbury, MA until grade 6 and remember when Doug Flutie was playing at BC! We prayed for the Eagles at mass (no joke).
