pocket diaper question

Just changed my first CD.  It is a BG, the insert was soaked but the actual diaper lining didn't seem wet at all.  Do I have to change the entire diaper everytime or just the insert? Thanks for all the info everyone is sharing as I work my way through cloth diapering!

    you change the whole diaper. The liner is stay dry so its designed to stay dry to keep baby's skin dry.

    Yes you have to change the whole diapers.  Most pockets have inners that are  stay dry so that the baby does not feel wet.
