It was a HUGE help for us! DS has allergies to breastmilk, soy and dairy. Until the G.I. doctors pinpointed that not only dairy and soy were the culprit, but a protein in my breastmilk as well, it helped to make DS much more comfortable.
I found it depended on why DD was gassy- if she had inhaled a lot of air crying then it worked well, but not so much for food induced gas. It also worked for hiccups, like PP mentioned.
