Enfamil AR

Hello,

We are currently using Similac Sensitive and my insurance will cover Enfamil AR so I wantedto know what the difference is if any? I don't want to switch formulas on my son if it is going to hurt his stomach or have him not eat it.

Thanks for your help.

  • AR has added rice starch, and it caused constipation in my LO. We used it for a couple days for her reflux.
  • We had 12 long months on enfamil AR.  It's a love hate relationship.  I would only use it if your child had reflux.  Chances are you need a prescription for your insurance and your dr. may not write you one if they don't need it.  It caused HORRIBLE constipation with peyton.  She had to drink 2-4oz of pear juice a day after she was 3 weeks old until she started purees or else she would get horribly constipated.  She would bleed and scream and we would have to 'help' her go, either by bicycling her legs or using a qtip with vaseline on it and turned it around in her butt.
