hello and when will my 'netherparts' feel better??

Just a quick hello, and a question.

Had my baby girl on 2/26/11...and loving every minute....except going to the bathroom! When will peeing not feel awful?? I had a 1st degree internal tear..fyi.

I'll write more of an intro later!

Yay, I wanted some advice on this same topic. Except I had an episiotomy and subsequent 3rd degree lac (aka, all the way to the butt). I feel totally mutilated down there and I'm desperately wondering if I will ever be back to normal Crying

I only had 2 stitches on 2/24 and I felt a lot better peeing yesterday. Are you using the peri bottle? I found that it helped a lot when used with warm water.

I had an episiotomy as well and it was a good 2 weeks before i started feeling better but probably 4 before the stitches went away.

I'm at 4 weeks and still in pain a little. Mostly just swelling, my sutures are healed but I still feel a bit of pain if I am on my feet too much during the day.

Tucks pads FTW is all i can say.

I had a really bad tear also. Make sure to use the peri bottle as your peeing. That helped it not sting. Also use the numbing foam/spray and the tucks pads. I would change them anytime I would start to feel more uncomfortable. I feel completely back to normal now and was feeling almost normal after a month. It takes a while but the main pain will be gone after a week or so and then it will just be a bit uncomfortable.
