Recovery Question

How long did recovery take for those of you who had VBirths?

Go ahead and flame me?. But I will be leaving out of the country 8 weeks after baby is supposed to arrive and will not be taking the LO. I know it's going to be hard but I've made the commitment and I am not backing out now as I am the MOH in a wedding. LO will be staying with the in-laws which are beyond excited. Anyways I am wondering what types of restrictions you still had after 6 weeks, if any? Were you completely healed? I am hoping to be able to lounge in the pool if everything is healed. I understand that there is a chance I could have CS which would complicate things further.

Everyone is different.  I had a fast recovery and was feeling almost 100% around 4 weeks.  I also went out of the country at 8 weeks and had no problem lounging by the pool.

I felt 100% about 2 weeks later. After 6 weeks your doctor will give you the "all clear" from any restrictions as long as you don't have any complications. The only downer you might have is if you are still having bleeding. I am 7 weeks pp and still bleeding.

I just know that I wouldn't want to lounge at the pool right now.  Your body will still not look the greatest after 8 weeks.  Make sure you have some sort of cover up and something other than a 2 piece.  I was still a little sore but not bad and have still had spotting off and on.
