swollen belly button?

Does anyone else's LO have a really swollen belly button?  I remeber that DD1's belly button looked like this at first, and eventually went down but I don't remember how long it took.  The ped actually mentioned it at her 2 week appt and said "Her belly button will eventually go down, so it's nothing to worry about".  But I feel like it doesn't seem to be getting any better.  And maybe it is my imagination, but it seems like it's actually a little more swollen now and kinda purplish. 

Does anyone know if that's normal, or how long I should expect it to take for it to go down?  I may call the ped. but I feel kind of silly calling them about it since they specifically said it was normal when we were there last. 

Anyone have any insight?  TIA!

    Sorry, I posted before looking through any of the other posts and I see something similar was just posted below.  Embarrassed   I will read through those responses.
