Miracle blanket

Is it worth it?  We have a few saddle mes and a woombie and DD hates them both.  I'm thinking of trying the miracle blanket....what are your thoughts on it?  Thanks!

Re: Miracle blanket

  • I really liked it at first, until I came to the conclusion that DS doesn't like being swaddled.  He can wiggle his way out of anything, even the Miracle Blanket.  If your LO likes being swaddled though, I would definitely recommend it.  It's much more snug than the others...you can really make a nice baby burrito! • DS was an escape artist, too. If you don't want to shell out the money yet, give this a try. It's the same concept as the Miracle Blanket, and all you need is a receiving blanket and a big blanket to swaddle LO.

DS fought the swaddle, and sometimes still does, but if he's tired, this REALLY works for him.  Plus, I'm pretty certain that this method has helped him sleep LONGER.

  • If your LO hates the other two (and by hate, I assume you mean crying?), she will hate the MB too. DD hates anything that takes her arms away, but we still use the MB for her own good. Here is our routine: change diaper, wrap in MB (she cries every time), give bottle, put down in crib. She will attempt to get out of it every time and lays there grunting, but falls asleep within minutes. So, no, she doesn't like it, but it gets her asleep and stays asleep. Last night she slept from 10-5:30. We tried a regular swaddle - she busted out. We've tried the Halo SwaddleSack, but she sleeps about half as long as she does in the MB and always gets at least one arm out, usually both.

  • We got a Miracle Blanket as a gift and we love it. We don't use it much, because we don't swaddle frequently but DD calms right down if we decide to swaddle her. However, I don't know that I'd shell out the money on my own for one! We used her's while we were in the hospital quite frequently though.

  • It is as it's called a Miracle, lightweight and if used properly they can't get out of it.  My baby doesn't really like to be swaddled anymore but when you have tried everything else to calm a baby down wrap them up and a little feeding usually makes for a happy sleepy baby.   Ps they have a little video online with a 14 week old, and they say if they can get out of the wrap you can have your money back.
