I am carrying 100% different this time. With DS it was all bump and I gained some in my arms. With DD I am carrying REALLY wide. I have gained extra weight on my sides like love handles but they wrap into my bump. My boobs have not gotten any bigger thank god. It just seems like my bump goes from hip to hip. Also my bump seems to get harder and rounder at night. I lost weight in the beginning of my pregnancy and I have only gained about 5 pounds. Has anyone noticed a huge difference between pregnancies? And what about weight gain?
I also don?t know how to add a bump pic. Can someone help?
Re: Moms with DS; expecting DD
BLOG
I have a DS,and am now awaiting a DD... in looking at a few of my pics from being pregnant w/ DD, I can't see much of a difference in how I'm carrying (higher/lower), but everyone else says I'm carrying a little higher, and I do have a little bit of a love-handle thing going on, but it isn't too bad. But other than that, the differences are crazy. This time, my breasts have definitely gotten a lot bigger, where they never did w/ DS. I had really icky morning sickness, and w/ DS, I'd only get a small bit of nausea, but it would pass quickly. Cravings this time definitely lean toward the sweets and such, and I'm not a big sweets eater normally, and I didn't crave sweets w/ DS at all. My cravings are constantly changing, and w/ DS, I craved a few specific things throughout the whole pregnancy. As far as weight, at my last appointment on the 1st of Feb, I had only gained 4 lbs, since I lost a little in the 1st Tri. (I don't own a home-scale, so I don't know what I've gained since then, but I"m sure I've gained at least another couple of pounds.) I'm bigger sooner, but that's really common for 2nd + pregnancies. I haven't really gained any extra weight anywhere else that I've noticed, other than boobs and belly."
DD has been growing about a week ahead from the get-go, whereas DS grew a little slower, but both are healthy. I have a feeling she'll start slowing down soon. I only say that because small-ish babies run in both of our families, so if she comes out to be over 7 lbs, I have no idea where she'd get it from! (I have another u/s at the end of March, so I guess we'll find out.) Schedule wise, she seems to be active at the same times DS was... when I'm still, and at night... but that's not really a big deal, or something that I hear will differ because of gender, specifically.
i had 2 sons first, and with each of them, i gained 30lbs total, and carried them like basketballs up front.
dd1 i gained 60 freaking pounds and was just fat and tubby until the last two months when i finally rounded out, but she was really high. so high in fact that when i went in for my scheduled c section the doc had to cut about an inch above my original c section scar to get her out.
this is #4, and it feels just like my sons pregnancies... turns out, it's a girl! i SWORE this one was going to be a boy based on the morning sickness, i lost weight. just completely opposite from my dd.
but right now, i'm carrying low and more round in the front again... so either the gender really does have nothing to do with how you carry, or this is actually a boy and we'll find that out on birthday! lol
