I have a friend who I used to work with who had her little boy in December. I believe she breastfed for a while, but then switched to formula. Apparently, her little boy has had a lot of issues with formula, and she's switched brands several times. She really really would like to go back to breastfeeding. If there are any moms who have gone this route, or any moms who have any advice to offer, please send me what you've got so I can pass it on to her. She's not getting a lot of encouragement from her family members, and it's bugging me to see everyone telling her that she shouldn't even bother. I've suggested finding a LC and attending some LLL meetings, but I'd really like to send a whole bunch of encouragement her way.
Annnnnd go!
Re: Help a friend with relactation! Stories/advice/linkies needed!
There are several girls on the breastfeeding board that are relactating. I think they check in of Friday mornings. Domperidone would help your friend a lot. It can be bought at www.inhousepharmacy.biz
Here is a good article from kellymom: https://www.kellymom.com/bf/supply/relactation.html
She will need to start pumping every 2 hours around the clock and put baby to breast for ever feeding, even if he won't nurse, it will help stimulate her milk.
This is a pretty awesome site:

She may also want to look into Eats on Feets as a way to get in touch with a donor in her area for immediate help. I have used donated milk (Blood tests, know them personally and pasteurized the milk). If her baby is having a hard time with formula, donated breast milk might be a good option until she is able to relactate.
