Can you help me with my eating?

I am 22w and over the past couple of days I've started having a lot of trouble with food.  I've been getting really full/indigestion sometimes and I'm fine other times.  It seems to have absolutely no correlation with how much or what I eat.  For example, I just had a small salad for dinner and I'm having the really full feeling--whereas on Friday I stuffed myself fill of pizza and I was fine.  It seems really random for me.  I'd love to fix it, but I just don't know how.

Any ideas?  Thanks for your help.

  • I'm not sure I can really help because for me, limiting portion really helps. Also I stand or walk around for 30 minutes after I eat. It really helps me. Have you noticed whether you just sit or slouch after you eat that you get indigestion? Or does it matter for you at all? For me, walking after meals really helps because I have the same problem, that is even with just small portions I still get indigestion.

Hope you find something that works for you.

  • I have the same problem, some days I feel like I'm starving others I can't eat much at all. Indigestion is a killer here too, the bloating is horrible.

  • I agree with the above poster - eat small meals and walk after you eat if possible. It seems to keep my digestive tract moving better when I walk every day. I get really bad indigestion if I ever make the mistake of laying down on the couch to watch TV after dinner, for example.

  • Thanks for your suggestions!  A walk is a good idea for a lot of reasons and I can see why eating and then laying around (my favorite activity) is not working for me.

  • I've had that trouble off and on recently too - it is definitely after larger meals, but really, the meals haven't seemed that big. Just normal size. I seemed to be doing worse after meat-heavy meals, so last week I really limited the amount of meat - just had a little seafood sometimes, or a vegetable lasagna with just a little meat in the sauce. That seemed to help. Also I read that peppermint tea was good for digestion. I only tried it once, I think it settled my stomach a little.
