I just read this on 3rd tri and thought I would share. To help make it easier to change sheets in the middle of the night after a diaper leak, you can layer several sheets so you just have to take off the soiled one and you have clean ones already on.
If you layer it waterproof sheet on the bottom, then regular sheet, then another waterproof, then another regular you will always have a clean, dry set on.

It's funny you've heard this. I've actually heard the complete opposite of that - that CDs actually are better at containing leaks and blow outs.
fabulous idea - thanks for sharing.
A co-worker of mine actually had told me to use tery towling flat cloth diapers under baby's bottom to line the crib of a night time.... some of these little tips sure are useful!
I've heard CDs are best at controlling blow outs, but they don't have the absorbency of disposables.
I think they (CD's) can be better at containing leaks overnight if you use an extra insert or special one for overnight use that's supposed to have extra absorbency. I know I put some inserts on my registry specifically meant for overnight use.
But the layered crib sheet is still a good one. I definitely don't want to have to change sheets in the middle of the night!
I did this with DS! It was great for the middle of the night!
DS didn't have blow outs at night, but i still LOVE the ultimate crib sheet
I found that CDs are better with leaks. I use Bumgenius and rarely have a leak. I can't even remember the last time we had a leak at night. I triple stuff his (17 months old) nighttime diapers. That being said I still use a waterproof mattress pad on his mattress.
