Okay, LO is almost a week old, and so far we've been feeding him the Enfamil nursettes. He's to the point now where one 2 oz nursette isn't filling him up, but we can't just jump to feeding him 4 oz. I hate opening a second one of the nursettes just to give him a quarter of it.
So, I guess it's time for us to start mixing up bottles with powdered formula. We're using Drop-Ins. I know that you add the water first, then the formula, shake and feed. We're going to mix up 3oz at a time so that we're wasting less.
Here's my question... what's the best way to do this so that every time we feed (especially in the middle of the night) we're not dealing with all of this mixing?
We have the 3-sectioned formula mixer container... do we use that to pre measure the scoops of powder, so that all we're having to measure in the middle of the night is the water?

Re: Dumb question... best way to mix bottles?
We premeasure the formula and fill the bottles with water. So in the middle of the night all we have to do is grab a bottle off the headboard pour in the formula and shake. It's completly effortless in the middle of the night. Our little one takes bottles at room temp. so we dont have to warm them in the middle of the night. GL

Thanks so much! We don't use a bottle warmer, so it makes sense to do what you ladies suggested.
I'm still on Percocet and my hormones are crazy... sorry for asking something that seems so simple.
