Is all wool equal?

Aside from style, are $60 longies better than $30 ones?

Re: Is all wool equal?

  • Thank you for your replies!

Sorry for being unclear, but I meant in terms of function.  I don't think I'll be able to develop a preference until I start using them, but I just wanted to know if a $60 pair was going to be more bulletproof.  I know that with some CD things, you get what you pay for, and if I'm going to be throwing away $30 on something that's not good, I'd rather just pay more and have a quality product.

Thanks again!  I'm still doing lots of reading before I decide what to buy.

  • It depends. What kind of wool is it--cashmere or merino vs more of a blended breed of wool? Is it handknit? Does it have a doubler built into the crotch? Does it have cute appliques on it? Etc.
