stomach flu - kill me.

Keeping this quick.. bc I am miserable. Got hit w/a stomach bug - threw up/diarrhea nonstop for like 4 hours so I went to ER, got 2 bags of saline and Zofran.

Now home, but aching like crazy and running fever of 100.

Called nurse-line and all she said was to take Tylenol for fever and go in if it's 101 or more. 

Any other advice, aside from the commonsense ?

    No advice, just try to keep hydrated.  I had the same sounding flu on Wed/thurs.  I feel your pain. Hope you feel better soon!

    This exact scenario happened to me about a month ago.  They had me stick to the brat diet (bananas, rice, applesauce, toast) for a couple days. Lots of Tylenol and a cold wash cloth were the only way I could get some sleep. I know it's not much more than the common sense stuff but it worked for me, even though I was miserable for about three days after.  I got sent home with anti-nausea meds and those were a god send, did you get any?

    Just REST and drink fluids.

    I did the SAME thing on Friday and am still on house arrest.

    It honestly felt like dying. I couldnt wait for them to give me my IV in the ER. and Of course because I was under stress Peanut was quite active and that really didn't make things easier.

    Thankfully, her heart rate was only elevated a little and the nurse in the ER said I would suffer way more then she would (aka she would suck anything and everything out of me)

    Ginger Ale with lots of ice in it and Hubby made me veggie broth. Just ate my first real meal today (aka it was bread and veggie broth with veggies in it).

    But honestly, rest. Just take extra time then you would've normally.
