Don't get me wrong, I love my MIL, but her visiting is getting annoying.  Don't get me wrong, I'm super thankful for everything they have done, and just for being good Grandparents, but she visits EVERY weekend.  She got LO an Easter present and wants to drop it off tomorrow.  Can't you wait till Easter?

 Last weekend she was here and LO's diaper needed changed.  My husband rarely does it (and she knows it too) so I said to him will you change her diaper and she goes "oh I will do it, you (meaning hubby) can do it the next time".  Like you aren't helping the situation at all.

Do you feel smothered?

Because I felt smothered for a week straight!!!! MIL was always there behind me making goo goo ga ga noises and asking questions about plans for Easter and summer and whatever other holidays there are on the calendar!

She lives far away so I at least doesn't have it every weekend.

i liked my mil until the baby now i feel like she just smothers us.its gotten better but only because i made her mad but dang go home. if i hadn't have made her mad she would still be bothering us everyday

Yea, I do feel smothered.  It's over whelming.  I know she just wants to help, but still. I hope she isn't like this forever.  When she's here she is holding her, which is fine.. but she doesn't put her down.  And they stay forever too.  Not just for an hour or so, a couple hours.  And I BF so they have to go to a different spot in the room. Hopefully LO will be sleeping tomorrow so they won't stay long.

Surely she means well, but I think it's nice to have alone time on the weekends with your new little family...that situation would drive me nuts! I don't like any visitors staying more than an hour!
