I've been on the Bump for awhile but just noticed this local board a couple days ago! I'm a first-time mom with a new daughter, born 2/9. I'm having a bout of baby blues/feeling a bit isolated already, so I'm trying to reach out to other new moms, which definitely helps me feel better. I've been going to the Inova breastfeeding support group, and I think I'm going to try the Inova new moms group, too.

Anyway, I just wanted to say hi, as a new reader of this forum!

There are three-- Falls Church (new), Alexandria (at the hospital), and Kingstowne. I'm going o go to Alexandria, even ghough the Falls Church one is super close to me, bc it meets at the same time as the breastfeeding group.

Thanks! I'll have to look into the Falls Church one. I have preemie twins currently in the NICU there. So I'm also a new mom, but don't really feel like it yet...

I still don't see the FC one on their website, but I go this info in email: Thursdays, 10:30-11:30 am Inova Cares Clinic 6400 Arlington Blvd. (BB&T building at Seven Corners) Falls Church, VA ? Welcome!! I went to the Fair Oaks Inova New Moms group until Ben was 5 months old and found it really helpful!! I'm glad you are getting out and meeting other moms - that was so helpful for me in the early weeks - and it still is:)
