Quick ? about Amazon Mom

Do you have to pay for it?  I signed up for a free trial of Amazon Prime so I could get the free 2-day shipping for our travel system, but I think I'm going to cancel it before they start charging me the $80/year.  Is Amazon Mom basically the same thing?  Thanks, ladies!

I signed up for it when I got pregnant, and it's still free.....it'll be free for me at least until next October. It starts out with 2 months (maybe 3) of free shipping, but every time you spend $25 on qualifying items (baby/kid) , they add a month to it. We bought a mattress, a couple toys for DH's nephews, and my sonoline doppler, and that was enough to add 7 months. I'm sure we'll be able to keep adding, also.

ETA: If you are ordering your travel system, that alone will get you a bunch of free months!

Dang!  I already got the travel system with Amazon Prime.  Looks like I need to cancel the Prime and sign up for the Mom before I buy anything else.  Thanks for the info!

Yep, and with Amazon Mom, you get free prime shipping on anything, not just baby stuff.

Definatley cancel the Amazon Prime and just use the Amazon mom.  It is free and the free two day shipping adds up fast.  We just bought our dresser for the nursery there (far cheaper than any other place offered it), paid no shipping, and it arrived the next day!  Plus the purchase earned us several months of the free shipping.  You can also sign up to have items like diapers automatically shipped to your home and save 30% from what you pay in stores.
