tide for CD

Strange question... but at risk of sounding like a dork I will ask it so I don't end up ruining the stash of CD I have.

I've read that Tide Original works great for CD. I know some people that have used it too and say the same. Well, I went to the store to get some and I became confused. When people say Tide Original is the the...

-ultra tide original scent or -tide with whatever scent you choose 

if it is the original scent one... they only had HE version in the store. Has anyone tried using this in a regular top load washer?
