Labor Story...Baby Allison is here!

So here is the story...I was scheduled to be induced on 2/24. So, my husband and I headed to the hospital for 7am like instructed. When we arrived, however, apparently there was something in the water and EVERYONE seemed to be in labor. So we had to wait for a room. After waiting for 7.5 hours, we finally got into a room. They started my pitocin, antibiotics (GBS+) and fluids around 3ish. My doctor broke my water when I was 2-3  (around 5:30 pm) which shocked me because I was used to them breaking it closer to 5 cm. Once that was done, things went a lot quicker. I got the epidural (twice since the first time, it went into a blood vessel which prevented the medication from feeding properly...yay) at about 5 cms. It worked for the most part but I still had all feeling in the right side of my pelvic area. At 7:10 pm, 9 lb 4 oz Allison Irene was born. She was 21 inches long. My largest baby yet! I cannot imagine what she would have been had I gone to my due date (3/2) or later! She is absolutely perfect. They have her in the nursery finishing all of her tests that had to wait until she was 24 hours old. She looks a little on the yellow/orange side so we are anxiously waiting to hear if she is jaundice...we are hoping her numbers are low since we are anxiously waiting discharge tomorrow. I wish everyone a speedy and healthy delivery and I cannot wait to read about your labor/birth stories!
