Hello!

 

I am new to the boards.  We are thinking about TTC #1.  We have been married almost 3 years in August and have been together 8 years this Thursday!  Anyway, my insurance currently does not cover pregnancy.  Does anyone pay out-of-pocket for private pregnancy insurance?  If you do could you let me know which insurance company you are using?  Also, if anyone has any other information or advice that would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks!!

If your insurance does not cover pregnancy, you will probably be eligible for medical coverage from the state of IL. Sometimes with medicaid it is hard to find a good doctor, but there are many good OB's and even Midwives who accept medicaid in the Chicagoland area. I think you'd have to wait to apply until you know for sure you're pregnant, but you can even apply online
