Reflux moms - did it get worse around 2 months?

I feel like DS is spitting up non-stop after his feeds...he is upright, not bounced around, burped often, etc. and he's starting to cry/freak out at the bottle. DD had reflux but we added cereal to her bottle around 6 weeks, so I don't remember. I mentioned it to pedi at his visit the other day and he said to document it this month and if it gets worse, at his 3 month check up he'll prescribe zantac.

Yes, we started zantac a week ago and were having the same exact things you are describing... I could tell DD was in pain when eating and afterwards... zantac made a dramatic improvement.  I wouldn't wait until 3 months.

My LO is on Zantac now and I feel like it's not doing its job as well anymore.  He has started fussing at the breast again, arching his back and just generally looking uncomfortable.  We hsve an appointment for a recheck in a couple weeks, but I don't know if I can wait that long!

DD has been on Zantac for 3 weeks now, and at first it worked wonders; however, I think we need to up her dosage (since it's based on weight) and plan on talking to the pedi about it at her 2-month checkup on Monday. She has started to cry when I feed her again and is acting how she did before we started the Zantac (spitting up a lot even when upright, crying inbetween feedings, etc). I don't know if waiting a whole month is something I could do, if your LO is anything how DD was without the Zantac.

My DD seems like she has gotten worse from about a month on.  At her 2 month appointment we were getting more concerned and the week after she seemed to be getting worse, so we went back in and started her on Zantac.  We also have concerns about a possible food allergy/intolerance so I am currently on an elimination diet.  So far it seems like the Zantac is helping somewhat.

yes you might need to up the dose of the zantac as baby gets bigger, i know we are upping my LO's does about every 2 weeks. but my LO's reflux is super bad, he is on zantac plus another antibotic that moves the food through his system faster and he goes for his GI ultrasound on monday.
