Was it romantic? Did you get dressed up? Or was it getting things done that are diffiicult to do with a baby or toddler?
We don't have family nearby so we try to make the most of the $10 an hour we are spending on a babysitter Lately Andrew has become so difficult to shop with that tonight we are getting a babysitter so we can go to Costco and out to dinner. I find it funny that this is what has become of our dates. What is even funnier to me is how much I am looking forward to tonight
Re: What did you do on your last date with DH?
TMI ahead:
We had sex. DS wakes up whenever we get it on so my mom takes him and DH and I use that time to get jiggy with it.
I'm embarrassed to even say. We didn't pay for a sitter, my sister kept her. It was my husbands birthday and we went to a strip club. Even if we had paid a sitter, I'm sure he would have said it was well worth it!
Enjoy your night!
Went out to a sinfully expensive dinner for my birthday.
Got dressed up!
We rarely go out on dates so when we do pay a sitter we tend to do a really nice restaurant.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
Last Sunday we went to brunch while MIL came to our house and hung out with the kids. It's kind of a pain to try and go out at night anymore... Henry isn't easy to put down for the night and I'm not sure he'd do it for MIL. And, we're too lame to leave after bedtime.. I can't stay up that late
Anyway, brunch was wonderful... it's a great big fancy ordeal at a really great hotel downtown. We stayed there the night of our wedding and had brunch the next morning way back when... So, it's always a sweet reminder when we go. It's $$$ so we only do it a couple times per year... this time we had a giftcard that DH's aunt gave us for Christmas so that made it even more enjoyable! Yay for a free date! We took our time, chatted, had a cup of coffee before and after... it was really wonderful!
Before this we hadn't been on a real date since our anniversary in November and before that our birthday's in August. We have been known to hire a sitter to do things like shop for furniture or do home improvements LOL. So, you're totally not alone!

I was going to say I don't remember, but then I did...haha. It was DH's holiday work party, so I was hugely pregnant, but yes, we dressed up.
Oh how I would love to go out to dinner by ourselves right now, but honestly, if we had someone watching the boys I'd probably just sleep!
