what i am finding to be the most difficult

it seems that anytime I try to spend some time with DS, DD ends up waking up and needs to be fed or wants to be held or just needs something. I feel really bad because I just want a little one on one time with him.

  • I just have one, so I can't say I've been there, but it's one of the things I've always thought must be SO hard about having a second child.

  • I know exactly what you need. Sometimes DD takes it really well, others, not so much. I just keep reminding myself that it won't be long before DD2 is ready for a nap again. Also it won't be long til DD2 won't be so needy.

Good luck. We are all right there with you!

  • That's my biggest worry about having another. I told DH I don't want #2 unless we are living closer to family so I can have some help and that DS will get sufficient attention.

  • I am right there with you! Every time I try to spend some one on one time with DS1, DS2 wakes up and needs something, or starts fussing...he's even given me the puppy dog eyes a few times like "mom, why can't you play with me?" It broke my heart! :(
