Have any of you played music for your bump? If so what seems to get him/her going? Or, if you just play music around the house, car, office what gets him/her dancing?
I play my ipod every night on the speaker, when I lay down to relax. Not much activity from the girl. But yesterday, I was working from home and placed my phone on speaker during a conference call. I just layed my phone on my belly and she kicked me several times. This was actually the first time I could see/feel it on the outside.

We have a playlist of lullaby music (mainly classically) that we play for the baby every few days after dinner. I use MH's big headphones and put them on my belly while I watch tv. There's this one song with horns that usually gets him squirming.

i listen to my ipod at work everyday and i put one headphone in my ear and the other on my belly and it always gets her moving around. Doesnt matter what is playing
I sing all the time to DS, and we also listen to music often throughout the day. And when I do sing I feel baby kicking more...it's terribly cute! But I wasn't brave enough to sing when I was pregnant with DS because I felt silly singing to my belly, but this time around it's much easier because I'm singing to DS ) Also we listen to a lot of fun toddler music and classical music in the car all the time, so I hope baby is enjoying it!
When my husband plays his guitar and sings it usually gets some kicks from LO... even funnier, when he plays and sings, my dog now curls up somewhere close by and drifts off to sleep. haha.
I haven't paid attention re: listening to music, but my little one STOPS moving when DH or I sing to her. Either we're both awful singers or she finds it soothing I've noticed that when she's kicking a lot, she chills out right away if I start singing.
Maybe she's covering her ears and hiding
Been away from theBump for a while, getting active again for all the good advice
Huh, music makes my LO calm down. He kicks sometimes when I'm driving, but if I turn on the radio and sing he stops right away. I've been thinking about putting my ipod next to the bed so he can listen to a song when I'm about to go to sleep - he's been going WILD at bedtime lately.

My husband is a band director so LO gets to listen to a lot of band music around our house...he really likes the marches hubby plays...I think it is because of the bass. I have a little musician in the making!
I play music for our LO all the time, there isn't anything specific he dances/moves too, but I think it's more about the timing. He'll dance around more in the afternoon than during my morning commute.
It's funny though, every time we watch "The Office" he starts moving around to the theme song. Guess he already has a favorite show!

The music that gets him going so far is The Cure, The Cult, White Zombie and all of my Romani (Gypsy) Violin music.
DH says he is going to take after me. lol
