I had my baby last Friday, I've been sore since- but today I am ridiculously sore- every part of my body aches, anyone else? I am starting to think I am getting sick and its not just the aches.
Any chance you over-did it in the past day or two? My most sore day was the day after a day I was feeling awesome and just did too much around the house. It's hard when I'm having a good day to remind myself that I did just birth a child and I still need to take it easy!
Take it easy girl It's only been a week. I'm guessing you're also sore from not sleeping in the most comfortable positions ever. It's been over 3 weeks for me and I still feel sore.
I was incredibly sore in all my muscles and joints for about a week and a half (maybe 2 weeks) pp. Think of all the muscles you were clenching during labor and delivery and all the picking up and carrying you've been doing lately - plus all the constant slouching over the changing table and bending over her various hangouts (crib, PnP, swing, etc.). Your body just isn't used to those positions yet. Try to be aware of your posture when doing these things. Lift with your legs instead of your back.
For me, I had terrible posture in the hospital bed when I was holding DD and when I was breastfeeding her - all hunched over. I didn't realize it right away and was soooo sore from it. The hardest thing on my body for some reason was the act of standing up while holding DD - it was really hard on my knees in the beginning. It gets better though!
