Is pepperoni (cooked on pizza or in a calzone) safe?

I saw a pepperoni calzone at lunch, so of course that's all I'm thinking about and am considering it for dinner... But, does pepperoni fall into the "bad meats" category? Or, since it would be cooked (on pizza or in a calzone) is it ok then?

It's cooked, it's fine!  Just like PP, I eat Subway probably once a week.

Huh.  So many things I didn't think about.  If it's heated, seems like a sure thing! (I didn't stay away from lunchmeat, though, so you can ignore me!) I've had a good amount of it, and we're both still here!

My major craving when I was pregnant was pepperoni and mushroom pizza. I just made sure it was cooked and steaming.
