what about my poop? maybe tmi.

I'm almost 4 weeks PP and I can count on 1 hand how many times I've pooped. My doctor gave me a list of medications to continue taking, and colace wasn't on the list (i'm assuming because I stopped taking the iron). As of last week I had only gone 3 times, so I started the colace up again. In the week that I've been on colace, I've gone 2 times....When does MY poop get normal again?

I had the opposite issue and had diarrhea for nearly 6 weeks PP. My stomach is just starting to straighten out. I think it has a lot to do with hormonal changes after the birth. I'd keep taking the Colace until you can tell you're getting back to normal.

I'm 2 1/2mos out and I still have problems every once in a while. I was on colace, prune juice, miralax, and milk of magnesia occasionally. Once I went off all of them, I started to go more regularly. It also could have been the timing of it all, as I was just over a month pp. I think the fact that I'm not able to get out of the house to get any exercise is the main problem. Once it starts getting warmer and I can go out for walks, things should straighten out.

I didn't poop for two weeks PP! Then after that, it took another week to have another one. It was miserable. I was taking Colace and Miralax. I still take Colace to stay regular. It's not a laxative so it won't mess with your digestive system or anything like that. I'm finally getting much more normal and go almost every day now.

I don't poop too often at this point, but it's because I'm scared as hell!  I stopped taking my colace and still regret it - it hurts so much to poop!  Needless to say, I'm back on the colace for a while...
