The Chase Bank Commercial where the guy comes home from work and his VERY pregnant wife has a bunch of baby stuff and in the nursery there is enough stuff from triplet:

It drives me crazy!! First of all, why wasn't he at the sonogram if his wife is SO big and they think it's only one baby?? ( I have a friend who had triplets, she looked full term at about 5 months)
And most importantly YOU WOULD KNOW BY NOW IF IT WAS TRIPLETS!!!

Anyone who sees an OB would have had a sonogram by now and they would have seen three babies.

That stupid song they play is now stuck in my head as a constant reminder of how dumb that commercial is.

PS- I also hate the Gain commercial that uses the word 'gooder'. I actually e-mailed Gain and said I would never use their products because of that commercial.

Haha, I don't like the Chase commercial either, although the fact that the dad wasn't at the US didn't bother me. The song drives me nuts as well. And it also drives me nuts that Gain used "gooder" in their commercial but I do love their detergent so I will continue using it. Geico commercials drive me crazy especially since I hate their insurance and will never use them again in my life.

DH's cousin had surprise twins!

But they were really a surprise, requiring an emergency trip to the store for a second car seat.

It's a stupid ad, but even now, not everyone opts for sonograms.

Yes! Which is why we've switched to Simply Orange!
I teach students with limited english and when they hear words like this, they think it's okay to use them. I am already battling up hill, I don't need any help from commercials!!

The chase one doesn't really bother me, I get what they're 'trying' to say. What does bother me though, those damn Swiffer commercials!! Enough! I get it, you play some cheesy 80s music, swiffers collect dust, everyone knows that, and lots of people already use them so stop with the stupid commercials!

I lol'd when I read that part. Simply Orange is better in general IMO. And kudos to you for protesting bad grammar!

I comment to DH about that stupid commercial every time we see it. It's always along the lines of "They would have already known!!!!!" So I'm with you on that.

I haven't seen the gain commercial yet but the trop 50 commercial with Jane Krakowski uses gooder too. At least they acknowledge that its not a real word though.

I haven't seen the Chase one, but the Gain one drives me insane!  The first time I saw it, I asked DH if the actually said gooder.  I couldn't believe it.  Now I mute that commercial because it just bugs me so much!

I won't eat at Chicken Out because their slogan is "Eat good."  It totally steams me;  every time I pass one I shout, "Eat WELL!!"  I need to enter a 12-step program to stop my grammar nazi ways.

I actually like that Chase commercial...it makes me giggle.  The commercial that really annoys me these days is that stupid one for the fake butter where the chick is singing and dancing in the supermarket.  I hate it, and the dang song always gets stuck in my head.  I also hate (with a passion) any Old Navy commercial with singing in it.

I totally agree with the Chase and Swiffer commercials!  I also  cannot stand the Progressive (Flo) commercials.  But what's really annoying for me is the _______ Pass It On commercials from the Church of Latter Day Saints....like so cornball.  Like really?  Do I really need a commercial to remind me to be nice to someone?
