I should probably not encourage this behavior, right?

I'm still in the process of weaning DS3.  We're down to nursing one time a day, right before bed.  He's finally stopped asking for milk (or "milky" as he calls it) throughout the day, and once or twice I've managed to put him to bed before he remembered to ask for it, but it's going to be a fight to get him to let go of that last nursing session.  It's totally a comfort thing.

Lately, he wants to sit in my lap every time I'm sitting down, or sometimes I'll be trying to do something else, and he'll insist that I sit down and hold him.  He'll put his cheek up to my breast, close his eyes, smile, and say "I cuddle milky."  OMG, I need to get that kid attached to a lovey or something.  I cannot have him wanting to cuddle with my breasts all day.

  • awww...that's sweet!  LOL.  I don't know-DD stopped nursing a couple months ago and she still sits on my lap and sticks her hands down my shirt.  And actually, DS did the same thing for a while.  I think it's normal-I'm sure he won't do it forever!

  • OMG, too sweet.  Someday it'll be all you can do to get him to stand still for a hug.  I say take your snuggles where you can get them, he'll grow out of it.

  • awww embrace the cuddle milks right now, as time goes on he'll become less connected to his favorite region on you.
