I have a Canon Elph sd 1100, and while it is fine for quick snapshots around the house I would really like to get something that would give me better quality, crisper images.
What camera would you recommend upgrading to? Either DSLR or Point and Shoot. I would like a quick shutter and like I said better quality images. I would mainly be using it for photographing kids but would also enjoy using it for photographing landscapes, sunsets and nature, if that makes a difference.
I don't want to spend a fortune so any recs on a camera that is not too pricey but would still do what I want would be great! Also, what other accessories/lens would you recommend purchasing with your camera rec?
Thanks!

although, i'm guessing there are cheaper ways to go to get what you are looking for. i am not a camera expert but there are ladies on here who are, so maybe they'll have better suggestions.
