She told our boss the other day that I messed this thing up and I didn't, so I got blamed for soomething I didn't do...so before she got to work today, I shook up all of the Sprite cans in the 12 pack under her desk. I can't wait until she opens one.

That is great!!!!  I have a couple coworkers that I would love to do that to 

 My FFC:  My CEO and boss just asked me about how long I plan to take for maternity leave and what my plans for day care are after I come back.  I made something up because MH and I have known for months we are moving to a new state after the baby is born!  I plan to give them my notice sometime in April

*  LOVE IT!!! make sure to take a picture of her face priceless!!

*  Dont tell them before you leave then you wont get maternity leave best to tell them at the end that your not coming back then you already took your leave and there is nothing they can do about it!

be wary about doing this, they could make you pay the mat leave back

very true. I interviewed at a job a couple months ago and they said that if I did not return after maternity leave for a contract of 6 months I would have to pay it all back.

i already managed not to get super-flamed earlier this week when i confessed that i hadn't gotten the pertussus booster.  so i'm not going to press my luck by confessing anything new...  you ladies are the best!

What is this pertussus booster? Was I supposed to get one too? 

According to my doc I can't get that until AFTER the baby is born. There are a number of vaccines you can't have while pregnant. Right? 

I was told I would get one before I leave the hospital after giving birth but that i can't get one pregnant.  I'm going to have DH go ahead and get one before baby comes.

 i think it only works if you are on state leave not sick time or vaca time at least i know you can do that in NJ i know a couple people who did that but it wasnt sick or vaca time it was maternity leave they received through the state

I work for a company of 6 people so we don't qualify for FMLA and any leave I would get is not paid.  I hate my job, but I also don't want to screw them over so I don't plan to do this.....I'll just string them along for another month or so instead!

I was woken up this morning by Jehova's Witnesses at my front door. I don't think they appreciated a completely naked, tatooed pregnant woman yelling "I am trying to sleep. Go the f$%k away!!" and then having the door slammed in their face.

Don't mess with a preggo and her sleep.

same here AND I have been on leave for over a month now with probably 2 more months of bedrest PLUS the time off when baby gets here. NONE of it paid. I get to go back whenever I want but don't get paid unless I am there 6 Months out is no good...

Ohh and I am sorta doing the same thing. I don't think my work realizes I could be on BR another 2 months..

My MIL made a homemade boppy for me and LO. It is about 4 1/2 feet long and brown with pinecones printed on it. I threw it in the spare closet as soon as I got home and don't plan on using it. I know it's the thought that counts but I really don't like it.

My IL's were coming for the day, then they weren't because of the weather and now they are almost here. I was so relieved when I thought they weren't coming at all, I really don't feel like being social or dealing with them asking awkward questions about the pregnancy. But now at least it will only be for a few hours. And I know it's really strange but I don't like the idea of them eying my belly. It just kinda creeps me out for some reason!

I just got home from grocery shopping not that long ago.  I thought DH and I would get home around the same time so I purposely dilly-dallied and went to Mcdonald's for a snack (double cheese burger) so that DH would beat me home and have to take the dogs out.  

Unfortunately he got stuck at work late and still isn't home

My plan failed, but maybe I'll try it again next time I'm out.

Awhile ago I was talking to my friend about bedding and said I wasn't going to use a bumper. She looked at me like I had 3 heads and asked why not. I said "you used one"? to which she replied "yes".  And I totally went "OMG Melissa, they're a no no!!!!"  This was pretty early on when all I had heard online was the negatives of bumpers.  I was that judgemental person!!

Now I'm planning on getting one...and using it. At least I plan on using it at some point.

I know that I could be flamed for this, but I wanted to let it out. Since DH and I have been trying for a year and half and had two miscarriage. I just don't understand how people can say... "This baby was a mistake"... I don't understand how a baby can be a mistake... I also don't understand when I was in HS they told you "It only take one sperm!!" I guess becasue of my experience with having issues conceiving that it just doesn't make sense to me.

I haven't heard anyone say "mistake" and would definately have some choice words for them if I did hear that. I can definately understand "accident" though. And there can be very happy accidents.

Ooh, I've actually got one this week! I waited and waited forever to feel the baby move and kick. Now that he does, he's super active, and sometimes it annoys me. I have a hard time focusing at work when he does that and I want to tell him to stop moving for just a bit. And then I instantly feel like a horrible mother.

You're not alone. I love feeling my baby because it assures me that she is ok, but after a while and when she hits hard, I want it to stop. That's when I feel horrible too.
