It seems we've had problems with peeing and pooping during diaper changes. What is your trick to keep it under control? I think peepee teepees are dumb and refuse to buy into them.
We don't usually have this issue, but I have seen people "fan" with the clean diaper before taking the old one completely off, catching the urine caused by the cold air, and then changing the diaper. My husband just sets the clean diaper on top of him before getting the wipes, etc. Some people keep a clean washcloth or burp rag nearby to put on top in case of an accident (same idea as the peepee tepee.)
I just put a cloth wipe over DS as soon as I get the wet diaper off. It protects him from the cold air. As many times as I've told DH my method, he still hasn't gotten into the habit, and then wonders why he gets peed on lol.

we open the dirty diaper up and lightly blow on his weewee and then close the diaper up. then we wait like 15 sec and then we change him. its worked like a charm. havent been peed on since lo was a wk old.
We lift his knees up to his tummy to get out any extra gas and poop before we open up his diaper, then cover him up with a wipe. I put the clean diaper under him before taking the old one off so the change goes faster, and if he does poop, it goes into the new diaper instead of the changing table. I think having a wipe warmer helps too.

This, though I swear he pees on me more than DH. The one downside to the cloth wipe is he likes to kick it off, so I have to be vigilant. I refuse to get the teepees too. They look dumb and I have no idea how they're supposed to stay in place.

Re: How do you prevent DS from peeing during diaper change?
This. However, I find that the older LO gets, the less likely he is to poop or pee when the diaper is off.

This is what I do usually, if anything.
