I particularly love the hallway of bookcases....such a quiet, simple place to grab a book and enjoy.

When we finished our basement a year ago, H wanted to do about 1/2 the stairs as a slide - just build something that could be easily removed, but I vetoed because I think the slope is a little too steep for the 2-4 yr old range.
