LO calms with everyone else but me!

Isn't it supposed to the opposite? I thought babies were supposed to be best soothed by mom. My LO will simmer down with me only if I give him a boob. Otherwise, he'll scream his head off if I rock, sway, hold him....whereas my mom, husband, and even the random friend picks him up and he relaxes. What am I doing wrong? I'm starting to feel like he likes everyone else more than his own mother.

No don't feel bad!  He smells you and wants your boob to soothe.

My LO goes through stages where NOTHING i do calms her down...but I hand her off to my mom or DH and she instantly stops crying. I think it's more because she smells me and my milk and is crying because she wants my milk....not because of anything i'm doing wrong (at least thats what I tell myself!)....

You smell like milk, and as soon as he smells it, that's what he wants. My DS wouldn't settle for me, or take a bottle of expressed BM if I was in the room because he could smell the "real deal" and wasn't happy with the bottle. Give it a little more time, for him to do a little more than eat-sleep-poop, and you'll find other things will soothe him as he gets a bit older. GL.

Same thing here (although it has gotten better as she has gotten older). I do think it's the milk smell -- the boob is sometimes the only way she'll settle with me!
