Am I Lazy?

I want to schedule some newborn pics for Gracie. I have a Living Social deal I want to use for a local photographer. I just called her to set up the appt and she wants me to go into her studio next Wed for a consult. I really do not want to! I already have to go to the midwife on Monday for a PP checkup and to the Pedi on Friday for Gracie's first checkup. Why can't she just come to my home, take the pics, and be done? I don't know what we could possibly consult about for newborn shots. I personally do not want to be in any of the shots and neither does DH. I'd rather wait till summer for awesome family photos- hopefully I'll be skinnier and not look so haggard from sleep deprivation, maybe my hair will be brushed by then! LOL.. I also feel like it is almost a scheme to get me to upgrade my photo package from what the Living Social deal is. I am happy with what it is and for now it's all I want. Like I said, I'd rather wait till summer to get really nice (and expensive) family photos and then I would really appreciate a consult- all I want for now are a few awesome shots of Gracie while she's still tiny. I don't want to go anywhere, I just want to stay home for a few weeks, I know I'm a hermit but I have no desire to leave my cozy home. I even order my groceries from Amazon Fresh!

So my question is, am I lazy?

No, just a new mom.  I wouldn't see the point of the consult either and leaving that many times in one week is a pain.  I don't even like having that many appointments now and my baby is 7 weeks old.  You could always call and say you can no longer make it and would rather do the consult over the phone.  Afterall, you are the client and she is doing the work for you.  She is supposed to listen to your wishes.

No, I would tell her you can do the consult over the phone or email.  Not sure where you live,  but I like to use the its way to cold to bring the baby out excuse.  Works everytime and its true!
