Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Abdominal binder

Did you use one? Did it help? I got one, and I keep forgetting to use it! I looked 6 months pregnant after I delivered my first baby for about ohhhh, 4/5 months. I look better already this time around since I didn't gain so much, but I am hoping this dang corset helps too!

I had a c-section both times, if that helps.

Re: Abdominal binder

  • I definitely used mine, for about three weeks PP. I tried one day not wearing it two weeks PP and it hurt more without it. I am now to the point where I feel great not wearing it.

  • I did and it helped me a lot, especially with bad post-partum incontinence I had. I actually have a few and still wear them every once in a while.

  • I also had a c-section and I found the binder helped reduce the pain in my incision and lower back. I wore it from 3 days PP to 2 weeks PP and my stomach is now flatter than it was pre-pregnancy. I can't be sure if that is because of the binder or just good genes but I liked mine.

  • i have one and i just put it on for the first time. i kept forgeting to put it on as well. it's fine when i am standing but as soon as i sit down it digs into my sides, my stomach and rides up on my back. i might just wear it when i am sleeping. my hips arent that wide. about as big as my rib cage but in my early 20's they were smaller then my ribs and i would really like them to be that size again

  • I was so glad I had one.  I had a C-section and it made getting up, moving around, and walking so much easier.  Everything felt like it was held in place when I was wearing it.  I wore it for about 2 weeks after the surgery.  It really was a life saver for me.

  • I had a c-section and wore one for about a week. Then I broke out in this horrible itchy rash that was just unbearable. I don't know for sure that it was from the binder, but it was only in the area that the binder covered and cleared up about 3 days after I stopped wearing it. It really did help though.
