S/O Ugly babies....

When my oldest sister came to see my DS for the first time a few wks after he was born, my best friend was also there with her baby who was a few wks older.

We were holding each other's babies and my sister walked in and said Awww (looking at the baby I was holding. And I can say my friends baby was an ugly baby and my baby was not...no blinders here he really was cute! lol)

So I was like oh no this isn't Darrel...she's holding him. I died laughing deep down and let my sister know when my best friend left and she agreed with me haha

But really...some babies have perfect little faces as newborns, some don't...you still love them anyway!!

So true!  Although I think most of them are pretty funny looking until about 3-4 months.  Mine will of course be perfect from the moment they're born though, of course.

 I think newborns in general are a little weird looking.  I told DH no pics are getting shared with others until this baby has at least a few hours to "air out".  

Funny story- I was at my mom's house and she got an email of a relative's new baby. She was waiting for the pics to load and when they did she said "Woah!" followed a moment later by "That's an ugly baby!"

I was laughing pretty hard.  Sometimes my mom has a weak filter (although she'd never in a million years say  something like that to someone's face).  Her native language is Polish but this baby caught her so off guard that she blurted that out in english.

i totally agree that newborns are not nearly as adorable as babies who have had a few months to put on some fat and fill out their faces.  once they get chubby... so cute!

My nephew was a chunky baby with a full head of hair when he was born, and it was sooo cute! He was absolutely adorable as a newborn.. Now that he's a little older, his face is longer and not as chubby... Still cute, but I wish he would have kept the chub!

My other nephew, on the other hand, was born a week earlier than full term, and he had gigantic eyes and needed to put on some weight, and get hair, lol.

One of my friends from nursing school said some newborns just look like little old men, LOL... but I know our children won't

The pressure is on!  My friends have always teased me that they wanted me to have their children, because I'm always told how gorgeous my kids are.  There so much pressure on this LO, LOL!
